Echo DGK15FL Diesel Generator
Echo DGK15FL 15 kVA industrial diesel generator — 12 kW (15 kVA) 3-phase / 12 kW 1-phase continuous, 65 dB(A) at 23 ft, Kubota D902, 3 cylinder, 48 hr runtime at full load.
The ECHO DGK15FL is a Tier 4 Final mobile diesel generator rated 12 kW (15 kVA) continuous three-phase and 12 kW (12 kVA) continuous single-phase, built around a Kubota D902 3-cylinder engine in an enclosure ECHO rates at 65 dB(A) at no load, measured at 23 ft. It is designed for rental fleets and contractors — equipment that gets used hard, moved often, and maintained on a schedule.
Altitude
ECHO does not publish a derate figure for this machine, and the sell sheet describes the engine only as indirect injection without stating whether it is naturally aspirated or turbocharged. We are not going to guess at either one on a spec page.
Any diesel loses output as air thins; the only question is how much, and that is a question with a real answer rather than a rule of thumb.
We are at 6,035 ft in Colorado Springs and we sell into sites well above that. Tell us the elevation the machine will actually work at and we will get the derate in writing from ECHO before you order, rather than after you find out. A set that is quietly short of its nameplate at 8,000 ft is the most common and most expensive mistake in this business, and it is entirely avoidable.
Options. Trailer, block heater, battery charger, cam locks, fire extinguisher and shore power are factory options ordered with the unit — ask and we will quote the machine as you actually want it configured.

Features and specifications
- Kubota D902 diesel. Indirect injection, 54.8 cu in (0.898 L), 20.7 hp @ 3600 rpm. US EPA Tier 4 Final.
- Standby rating. 13.2 kW (16.5 kVA) three-phase, above the continuous rating, for backup duty rather than prime power.
- Output. 240 / 208 V three-phase and 120 / 240 V single-phase. 50.0 A x2 at 120 V and 50.0 A at 240 V single-phase; 36.1 A at 240 V three-phase. Frequency regulation 60 Hz ±0.25%.
- Simul-Phase®. Single-phase and three-phase output at the same time, from the same machine, without a transformer. One set covers a mixed site instead of two.
- Priority trip breakers. Separate breakers for single- and three-phase loads, so an overload on one side does not take down the other.
- Fuel. 60 gal (227 L) internal with 110% fluid containment. Burn is 1.24 gal/hr at full load, 1.03 at 3/4, 0.85 at 1/2 and 0.66 at 1/4 — about 48 hours at full load on the internal tank, less as you load it harder than a rental set usually runs.
- Sound. 65 dB(A) at no load and 67 dB(A) at full load at 23 ft, using a tuned muffler, longer exhaust and air dams that double the cooling path rather than insulation alone.
- Size and weight. 52.1" x 27.8" x 50.2", 1,190 lb dry. Trailered: 101.34" x 55.0" x 55.9", 1,540 lb.
- Alternator. Revolving field brushless AC. 12 V DC electric starting.
Same machine as the DGK15F on a much larger tank — 60 gal against 9.62 — which is the whole reason to choose it.
Ultra-quiet design
Echo industrial generators are built for sound-sensitive jobsites: air dams and insulated panels double the cooling air path, heavy-gauge door panels and sound-absorbing foam damp the enclosure, and a tuned muffler with an extended exhaust pipe cuts both high and low frequency noise -- without power-robbing auxiliary fans.
Simul-Phase®
Simul-Phase® delivers single- and three-phase power at the same time from a split buss, with 120/240V single-phase available at every voltage setting -- no transformer required. Priority trip breakers separate single- and three-phase loads so preferred circuits stay up during an overload.
