The ECHO DGK20FS is a Tier 4 Final mobile diesel generator rated 20 kW continuous single-phase, built around an Isuzu 4LE2T 4-cylinder engine in an enclosure ECHO rates at 62 dB(A) at no load, measured at 23 ft. It is designed for rental fleets and contractors — equipment that gets used hard, moved often, and maintained on a schedule.
Altitude
ECHO does not publish a derate figure for this machine — not on the sell sheet and not on the spec page. That is worth saying plainly rather than filling the gap with someone else's number. What the sheet does give is the engine and how it breathes, and here that works in your favour: this one is direct injection, turbocharged. A turbocharged diesel holds its rating at elevation far better than a naturally aspirated one, because the turbo restores intake density that thin air takes away. On the Front Range that difference is worth real money — it is often the reason a turbocharged set one size down does the job that a naturally aspirated set one size up cannot.
We are at 6,035 ft in Colorado Springs and we sell into sites well above that. Tell us the elevation the machine will actually work at and we will get the derate in writing from ECHO before you order, rather than after you find out. A set that is quietly short of its nameplate at 8,000 ft is the most common and most expensive mistake in this business, and it is entirely avoidable.

- Output. 120 / 240 V single-phase. 83.3 A at 120 V and at 240 V. Frequency regulation 60 Hz ±0.25%.
- Fuel. 51.5 gal (195 L) internal with 110% fluid containment. Burn is 1.6 gal/hr at full load, 1.2 at 3/4, 0.9 at 1/2 and 0.7 at 1/4 — about 32 hours at full load on the internal tank, less as you load it harder than a rental set usually runs.
- Cloud monitoring available. Optional remote monitoring and unit control, for fleets that track hours and faults without sending someone to the site.
- Sound. 62 dB(A) at no load and 65 dB(A) at full load at 23 ft, using a tuned muffler, longer exhaust and air dams that double the cooling path rather than insulation alone.

Ultra-quiet design
Echo industrial generators are built for sound-sensitive jobsites: air dams and insulated panels double the cooling air path, heavy-gauge door panels and sound-absorbing foam damp the enclosure, and a tuned muffler with an extended exhaust pipe cuts both high and low frequency noise -- without power-robbing auxiliary fans.
